Jessica Duck, RN

On-Call Nurse

Jessica serves as Untethered Recovery's On-Call Nurse, providing medical guidance, support, and education to clients and staff whenever health-related questions or concerns arise. As a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing  (BSN), she is committed to helping individuals better understand their health and encouraging them to take an active role in their own wellness.

Jessica believes the important part of nursing is empowerment through education. She’s often heard saying “knowledge is power,” and believes that when people learn how to take care of their bodies and minds, they live healthier, happier lives.

Whether she is answering medical questions, helping clients understand medications, or teaching healthy habits, her goal is to provide people with the knowledge and confidence they need to care for themselves.

Jessica is especially passionate about supporting people who are hurting, scared, or facing difficult circumstances and she finds great meaning in helping individuals heal not only physically, but also emotionally, mentally, and relationally as they work toward recovery. She shared “Recovery is a field of Nursing I was excited to get involved in, and it’s really become rewarding in ways I hadn't even anticipated.”

Jessica approaches every interaction with compassion, acceptance, and a belief that every person deserves happiness, healing, and freedom from the pain addiction can create. She believes there is not a single person on earth who hasn't struggled with something, and that seeking help is a sign of courage, not weakness. One of the values that guides her work is "Acceptance"—not only accepting others without judgment, but also learning to extend that same grace to ourselves.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her adult children, traveling, and creating meaningful memories with loved ones.

When clients first arrive at Untethered Recovery, Jessica wants them to know they are in a safe place, surrounded by people who genuinely care. Her message is simple: You are loved, you are valued, and you are worth it. Whatever it takes, we're here to help.

As a nurse, she also enjoys sharing practical reminders that can make a big difference in recovery and overall wellness: proper handwashing is the most effective way to prevent the spread of illness, and protein is essential for the body's ability to heal and recover!
